It seems impossible to describe the Botnia Targa range without using the phrase “The 4 x 4 of the Sea” but that truly is what they are. Built rugged and tough yet comfortable and with great attention to detail. The aft deck is completely open and is ideal for setting up dive gear, fishing or just somewhere to unfold a pair of deckchairs at anchor. Twin transom gates lead onto the platform with a useful inspection hatch in the middle for access to the sterndrives. Since these photos were taken the boat has been fitted with multiple shade options including a full enclosure over the aft deck and folding bimini’s over the flybridge and foredeck.
There is a comfortable flybridge with a single helm and twin co pilot seats plus a second station inside the cabin. The use of space is very clever with the twin gas hob and sink below the chart table on the passenger side and catches on every drawer, cupboard and cubby, no matter how small, and crockery and glassware is held in snug-fitting fiddles. A clever design allows the dining table to be stored high allowing relaxing space when not eating.
Accommodation for up to five people is in a good size forward twin cabin with a double bed aft and a single below the stairs. There is a very good size head with electric toilet and handheld shower and the air conditioning is powered by a Fisher Panda 5kva generator. Fitted with twin Volvo Penta D4 260 horsepower sterndrives with around 400 hours the boat can reach 35 knots and cruise at 24 burning just 55 litres an hour for an all-out range of 360 miles.
This Botnia Targa 32 is reluctantly offered for sale in lovely condition having been lovingly cared for by her first two owners. It is an ideal family boat for diving, fishing and enjoying the Andaman Sea is comfort and safety.
