Horizon Yacht, Fleming Yachts and Axopar Boats will all be on display at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) on Australia’s Gold Coast, running from May 19th until 22nd 2022.
The Sanctuary Cove Boat Show has become the premier marine event in the Southern Hemisphere and each year has been better than the last.
The Horizon FD series “is exploding” on the Australian market says Mark Western, Managing Director. “We will deliver 12 FD’s in 2022 – which is equal to the U.S. Production… They have really struck a chord,” says Mark of the Cor D. de Rover-designed series that spans 75 to 125-feet.
Introduced in 2017, the Fast Displacement (FD) Series began with the voluminous, head-turning FD85 and evolved into an acclaimed and rapidly expanding yacht series that now includes seven models ranging from 75 to 125 feet LOA.
Contemporary style lines, creative interior spaces, tremendous interior volume, and flexible cruising speeds are the core features of the Horizon Fast Displacement motoryachts.
Founded in 1987, Horizon Yachts has celebrated 30 years as one of the largest luxury yacht builders in the world as well as the number one builder in the Asia Pacific region.
In the past three decades, Horizon has delivered over 855 luxury yachts, with more than 220 of these over 80 feet in length. Popular models ranging from 52 to 150 feet include motor yachts, superyachts, power catamarans, expedition yachts, and fast displacement motor yachts.
Fleming Yachts Australia will be exhibiting at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show and this year a Fleming 58 will be on display.
Fleming Yachts have followed a policy of continuous refinement over 35 years with improvements and upgrades introduced as they become available and not by model year. Fleming yachts are instantly recognisable from their distinctive classic lines and never go out of style.
While retaining the Fleming classic lines, the 58 is an entirely new boat designed to bridge the gap between the 55 and the 65. The naval architects selected to assist the inhouse Fleming design team were Norman Wright and Sons in Brisbane, Australia who, with their special expertise in hull design and tank testing, have been designing semidisplacement passagemakers for more than 100 years.
Fleming Yachts build semi-displacement, long range cruising yachts from 55 to 85 feet. Established in 1985 by Tony Fleming, they are driven by a passion to design and build boats that meet the highest standards of excellence. Fleming Yachts have followed a policy of refinement over 30 years with continuous improvements and upgrades and are instantly recognizable from their distinctive classic lines which never go out of style.

Derani Yachts is delighted to announce the delivery of the first Horizon FD90 Skyline superyacht in Southeast Asia. Hull #20 of Horizon’s popular Fast Displacement (FD) series was delivered on schedule to its new, first-time owner last month.
Christened “Tyee”, the tri-deck superyacht measures 27.45 metres with a 7.11 metre beam and an internal volume of 185 gross tonnage. She features a five-stateroom layout with an enclosed skylounge configuration.
White oak and walnut feature as the main woods throughout the interior, and the elegant yet minimalist décor is further distinguished by floor-to-ceiling windows and white ash flooring.
The prime social space on board is the main saloon, which is equipped with a dayhead and television aft to starboard and a lounging area highlighted by a corner glass cabinet, a white leather sofa and coffee table with a pouf ottoman to port.
Additional entertaining spaces are found on the upper decks, which feature dedicated sunbathing areas and al fresco dining as well as an enclosed skylounge with a wenge wood games table.
Accommodations for six crew members are situated aft of the engine room housing the twin CAT C18A engines of 1,136hp each. Tyee can reach a top speed of 19.4 knots, cruising comfortably around a speed of 10 knots.
Construction of Tyee began in 2019 and is the first Horizon FD90 sold in the region by Derani Yachts and represents a global expansion for the Taiwanese brand.
The most popular model in the acclaimed FD Series, the FD90 embodies space, layout and performance.
Derani Yachts are delighted to have been appointed the Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore dealers for Horizon Yacht. For more information on the FD90 or other Horizon yacht builds, please get in touch.
Horizon Yacht has announced the launch a unique three-stateroom custom FD90 motoryacht. Commissioned by a Horizon E88 owner looking to upgrade, the FD90 features a number of customisations to suit the owners who cruise with their three dogs.
The yard’s willingness to consider, engineer and accommodate requests for customization is among the many reasons that experienced owners return to Horizon time and again to build their next dream yacht.
The customer approached the yard directly to design and build a yacht based on the FD Series’ voluminous profile and hull form that would suit his family’s onboard lifestyle. The custom FD90 features a three cabin layout, with all three cabins located on the lower deck to free up the main deck for entertaining.
Accommodation customisations have also been made for the owners’ dogs, which include a special windowsill ledge in the dinette area for the dogs to sit on.
The most dramatic departure from the standard FD Series main deck layout is found forward, where the owners specified a large galley/country kitchen configuration in the space normally accommodating an on-deck master stateroom.
The country kitchen area features a built-in dinette and working desk overlooked by a skylight with motorized blinds.
On the upper deck, the pilothouse and enclosed skylounge features dual helm chairs, a fixed L-shaped settee and hi/lo sliding table top dinette and a dayhead.
The foredeck features a sunpad and Jacuzzi and barriers have been erected around the deck to enable the owners’ dogs to run around safely.
Speaking about the yacht, the owner said: “Horizon’s willingness to modify their design is limited only by your imagination and your pocketbook. Our dogs also played into the design and Horizon made numerous modifications to keep them safe aboard while cruising.”
Powered by dual CAT engines of 1,136hp each, this custom FD90 holds 3,480 U.S. gallons of fuel. She is on schedule to deliver to her owners in early November 2020.
Derani Yachts are delighted to have been appointed the Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore dealers for Horizon Yacht. For more information on the FD90 or other Horizon yacht builds, please get in touch.
